Pimori lore

Pimori blooms: every color and the odds

A Pimori's bloom is its body color, rolled once when it hatches. There are six: Lime, Rose, Sky and Honey (22.5% each), rare Aurora (8%) and legendary Prism (2%). The odds are the same for everyone, rare colors can't be bought, and your pet keeps its bloom for life.

All six blooms at a glance

Every Pimori has the same soft bean shape, the same curly sprout and the same big eyes. The bloom is the color it's all painted in. Here's the full set:

Put together: 90% of eggs hatch in one of the four everyday colors and 10% hatch something rare. Those are the exact numbers the game uses, not estimates.

How a bloom is rolled

The roll happens once, at hatch. Here's the whole process:

  1. The eggBefore you meet it, your Pimori is a spotted egg. You confirm you're 18 or over, and then the egg is yours to tap.
  2. Three tapsEach tap makes it wobble harder. "Tap, tap…", "It's moving!", "Almost…". On the third tap it cracks open.
  3. The rollThe bloom is drawn from one fixed table: a 2% chance of Prism, then an 8% chance of Aurora, and the remaining 90% shared evenly by Lime, Rose, Sky and Honey.
  4. The revealYour Pimori pops out in its color, with a rarity chip above it. Then you name it.

The roll is fair and identical for every player. There's no "pity timer", no streak bonus, no hidden weighting for paying players and nothing you can do in the app to tilt it. It's the same table on everyone's phone.

The bloom is decided in the moment the shell cracks.

The rarity reveal

The hatch is built to be a small blind-box moment. When the shell breaks, a chip appears above your new pet telling you what you got:

The chip rounds Aurora's 1 in 12.5 down to a friendlier 1 in 12. The real chance is 8%.

The four everyday blooms

"Common" just means more of them hatch. Each everyday bloom is drawn with its own full set of poses, faces and stickers, and plenty of people end up rooting for a specific one.

Lime

A bright, zingy green. Lime is the mascot color, the one you see on the home page, the logo art and most of our guides.

Rose

A warm bubblegum pink with deeper pink outlines and dots.

Sky

A clear, sunny-day blue, cool and calm.

Honey

A golden yellow, like a jar of honey in the sun. If you hatched a gold Pimori in early testing, it's a Honey now: same color, new name.

Aurora: the rare bloom

About one egg in twelve hatches Aurora. It's a pearly, shifting color that runs from mint through lilac to a hint of pink, with a few sparkles on the body. It reads as clearly special next to the everyday four without being loud about it.

Aurora also has a bit of history. Early versions of Pimori had a Lilac color. When the brand was redrawn, Lilac was retired, and every Lilac pet became an Aurora: a free rare upgrade for the earliest testers.

Like every bloom, Aurora is drawn in every pose and every postcard scene, so your pet looks like itself everywhere.

Prism: the legendary bloom

Prism is the one people post about. Two eggs in every hundred hatch Prism: a holographic rainbow finish with sparkles all over. Unlike every other bloom, even its seedling leaves share the shimmer.

There's no trick to getting one. Every egg has the same 2% chance, and the game doesn't sell a way around it. If you hatch one, you'll know: the chip says LEGENDARY, the confetti goes big, and the app tells you to take a screenshot.

Want a feel for the odds without waiting for the app? The home page has a sneak-peek egg you can hatch. It uses the same 2% Prism, 8% Aurora split as the real thing. It lasts for your visit, and you can save its card.

The odds in plain numbers

Percentages can be slippery, so here's what they look like across lots of eggs. Picture 1,000 Pimoris hatching at once:

In a group chat of ten friends who all hatch a Pimori, there's roughly a two-in-three chance that at least one of you gets an Aurora or a Prism, and nearly a one-in-five chance that somebody gets a Prism. Each egg is its own roll, so a friend's Prism doesn't make yours more or less likely.

Bloom myths, busted

Whenever there's a rare color, theories follow. Here's what does and doesn't affect your roll:

The only thing that decides your bloom is the roll itself, and it's the same 2% and 8% for every egg.

Rare blooms vs. rare finds

Pimori uses the words "rare" and "legendary" in two places, and they're easy to mix up. Your bloom is rolled once, at hatch, and never again. Finds are different: they're the buttons, feathers and shells your pet brings home from expeditions, and you can collect them for as long as you play.

Finds come in four tiers: common, uncommon, rare and legendary. Each trail has its own set, and the rarer a find is, the less often it turns up. Every trail has a legendary of its own, like the Fallen star on the moonlit hill or the Golden acorn on the garden path. (The window trail's legendary is a Rainbow prism, which has nothing to do with the Prism bloom, despite the name.) Packing a snack before a trip makes rare and legendary finds one and a half times as likely.

Your bloom has no effect on finds. A Lime is exactly as likely to bring home a Fallen star as a Prism is. So even if your egg hatched an everyday color, there's plenty of legendary luck still ahead of you.

Is a bloom just cosmetic?

Yes. A bloom changes how your Pimori looks and nothing about how it plays. A Prism isn't stronger, hungrier, faster to grow or luckier on expeditions than a Lime. Its needs, moods, sparks and finds all follow exactly the same rules.

What a bloom does change is everywhere you see your pet:

Blooms and evolution

Your bloom and your pet's growth are separate systems. The bloom colors the body, and the body never changes shape. Evolution happens on its head: the sprout grows through Seedling, Sprout, Bud and Bloom, and at Radiant the flower turns into a Starbloom, a Moonpetal or a Sunburst.

The flower's color follows the form, not the bloom. A Starbloom always gets golden star petals, a Moonpetal soft lilac ones and a Sunburst bright orange rays, whatever color the body is. So an Aurora Sunburst and a Lime Sunburst share the same sunburst on top. The full story is in the Pimori evolution guide. (Yes, "Bloom" is also the name of the fourth growth stage. The stage is about the flower; your bloom is about the body.)

Rare colors are never for sale

Pimori has one firm rule here: no paid randomness, ever. Hatching, rare colors, finds and gifts stay free for everyone. There are no paid eggs, no rerolls and no loot boxes.

Pimori will be free to download and play. The optional subscription, Pimori Plus, adds things you choose directly, like more friends, voice chats, deeper memory, extra rooms and early seasonal events. None of it changes your odds. A free player and a Plus member have exactly the same 2% shot at a Prism.

Questions

What are the Pimori bloom odds?

Lime, Rose, Sky and Honey are common at 22.5% each. Aurora is rare at 8%, and Prism is legendary at 2%. The odds are the same for every egg and every player.

When is my Pimori's bloom decided?

Once, when it hatches. The color is rolled the moment the egg cracks, and your Pimori keeps it for life.

Can I change or reroll my Pimori's color?

No. There are no rerolls, paid eggs or color changes. The bloom you hatch is your pet's color for life.

Can I pay for a rare color?

No. Rare colors can't be bought, and Pimori Plus doesn't change the odds. Hatching, rare colors, finds and gifts stay free for everyone.

Does a rare bloom do anything special?

Only in looks. A Prism or Aurora shows its rarity on its hatch reveal, journal and share cards, but it plays exactly like any other Pimori.

What happened to Lilac and Gold?

They were early colors. Gold became Honey with the same color, and Lilac was retired, so those pets became Aurora, a rare upgrade.

When can I hatch my own?

Pimori is in private beta on iOS, with Android to follow and no launch date yet.
