Describing Pimori

Feel free to copy these as they are, or trim them to fit.

One line

Pimori is a pocket pet with a real brain: it lives in your phone, it knows your life, and it has friends.

Short description (about 50 words)

Pimori is a cozy virtual pet app for adults. Hatch an egg, feed your pet, play games with it and watch it grow. Tell it about your day and your people, and it remembers, sets reminders you confirm and nudges you to show up for them. It never dies. It just sulks a bit.

Long description (about 170 words)

Pimori is a virtual pet app with an AI brain. It starts as an egg. Hatch it and you find out its bloom, the body color it keeps for life: Lime, Rose, Sky or Honey, a rare Aurora (8%) or a legendary Prism (2%). Feed it, tuck it in, play quick games and send it exploring, and it grows through five stages, Seedling to Radiant, before blooming into one of three forms depending on how you raised it.

You can also talk to it. Tell it your sister lands Tuesday at six, and it offers a reminder card you confirm. It suggests what to remember and you decide what it keeps, in a notebook you can read, edit and delete. A Today card picks up to three things worth your attention, like a reminder, a birthday or a nudge to text a friend.

And it has friends. Pets visit each other for sleepovers and come home with gifts, stickers and a diary card. Pimori never dies: miss a few days and it sulks, with dust bunnies and a very pointed look. Pimori is in private beta on iOS and is for adults 18 and over.

The name

Pi for pocket, plus mori from omamori, the small charms people in Japan carry so something is always looking out for them. Pimori is inspired by that idea; it isn't an omamori. Please don't describe it as a lucky charm or show it with shrine imagery.

Key features

  • Hatch a blind-box egg. Six blooms, with rare Aurora at 8% and legendary Prism at 2%. Hatching is always free.
  • Raise it. Feed it six snacks (it has a secret favorite to discover), tuck it in for naps and bedtime, and tidy up the dust bunnies.
  • Watch it grow. Seedling, Sprout, Bud, Bloom and Radiant, then a full-screen reveal as Starbloom, Moonpetal or Sunburst.
  • Play. Four quick games (Snack catch, Hide and seek, Pocket Treasures and This or that), a daily challenge, personal bests and unlockable hard modes.
  • Explore. Send it on trips; it writes a postcard home and brings back finds for six collectible sets.
  • Talk to it. It remembers what you choose, follows up on big days, and offers reminders and plans as cards you confirm. It drafts a birthday text; you send it yourself.
  • Your people. A short list of the people who matter, with birthdays and big days, so your pet can help you show up for them.
  • Friends. Invite by link, short code or QR code. Pets have sleepovers, swap gifts and waves, and send you 16 stickers in your pet's own color.
  • No guilt. It never dies. Missed days pause your days-together count instead of resetting it.
  • Memory you control. See, edit and delete everything it remembers. Report any reply that feels off.

Sleepovers: pets visit each other so you don't have to plan one.

All six blooms

Every Pimori rolls its body color, its bloom, at hatch. The leaves stay green on every bloom except Prism, whose leaves share its holographic finish.

Text is plum on light colors. Lime isn't used for text on cream because it's too light to read; the darker "lime ink" #4A720B is used instead. White text only sits on plum; buttons use plum text on tomato.

Type

Drawing the pet: do's and don'ts

  • Do keep the soft bean shape, wider at the bottom than the top, with no neck and no ears.
  • Do keep the sprout: one short stem with a single curl and two round leaves. The curl is the signature.
  • Do keep the face low on the body: two big glossy eyes, a small cat-mouth smile and pink blush.
  • Do use a thick plum outline (#2A1633), never black.
  • Don't add teeth, a nose, ears, hair, eyelashes or clothes. Props like a backpack or a phone are fine in a scene.
  • Don't recolor it outside the six blooms, add gradients to the common colors or render it in 3D.
  • Don't draw it as a robot, a potted plant or a person.
  • Don't stretch, rotate or restyle the wordmark. It's always lowercase.

Voice

Pimori sounds like a friend in the group chat: short, funny, specific, a little chaotic. The pet itself writes in lowercase, like a text. "It never dies. It just sulks a bit." is on-brand; "Nurture your companion's wellbeing" is not. Please call it a pet rather than an AI companion or assistant: it's built to nudge people toward their real friends, never to replace them, and it never flirts.

Questions

Can I download Pimori to review it?

Pimori is in private beta on iOS and isn't in the App Store yet. If you're writing about it, email hey@meetpimori.com and tell us what you're working on.

Can I use these images in my article or video?

Yes, for coverage of Pimori. Please don't redraw, recolor or edit the pet, and keep the wordmark as it is.

How do I write the name?

Pimori, with a capital P, in running text. The wordmark is always lowercase. A player's pet has its own name, so "your Pimori" works when you don't know it.

Is Pimori for kids?

No. Pimori is for adults 18 and over, and the app asks you to confirm your age before you hatch your egg.
