Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Pimori ("Pimori", "we", "us") for your use of the Pimori app and the website at meetpimori.com (together, "Pimori"). By using Pimori you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Pimori.

2. You must be 18 or older

Pimori is only for adults. By using it, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and able to agree to these terms.

3. Your account

You can use Pimori as a guest or with an account. You're responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping access to your email, Apple or Google sign-in secure. Tell us at hey@meetpimori.com if you think someone else is using your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app.

4. Your license to use Pimori

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Pimori app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, under these terms. Pimori, including its characters, art, names and software, belongs to us and our licensors. You may not copy, sell, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the app except where the law allows it.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you write, say and share in Pimori, such as messages, notes and friend messages ("your content"). You give us permission to store, process and transmit your content only as needed to run Pimori for you (for example, to send it to AI models to write your pet's replies, and to deliver messages to friends you choose). You're responsible for your content and must have the right to share it.

6. Community rules and zero tolerance

Pimori's friend features let you send gifts, messages and sleepovers to people you've accepted as friends. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You agree not to use Pimori to post, send or name your pet anything that:

• harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates anyone;
• is hateful or discriminatory, or attacks people for who they are;
• is sexually explicit, or sexualizes minors in any way;
• promotes violence, self-harm, terrorism or illegal activity;
• is spam, a scam, or impersonates someone else;
• shares someone else's private information without permission;
• infringes someone else's rights, including intellectual property.

Blocking and reporting

In the friend garden you can leave a friendship, block a friend, or report a friend. Blocking ends the friendship right away and stops them from connecting with you again. Reporting also blocks them and sends the report to us.

What we do

Friend messages are checked automatically before they're delivered, and flagged messages are not sent. We review every report and act on it within 24 hours. Depending on what we find, we may remove the content, warn the user, suspend or permanently ban the account, and, where appropriate, report it to the authorities. 7. Acceptable use

You also agree not to:

• use Pimori if you are under 18, or on behalf of someone under 18;
• try to get around safety checks, daily limits or other protections;
• use bots, scraping or automated access, or overload our systems;
• try to access other people's accounts or data, or probe or break our security;
• use Pimori to build a competing product or to train AI models;
• use Pimori in any way that breaks the law.

8. AI replies

Your pet's replies, summaries, suggestions and memory proposals are generated by AI. They can be wrong, incomplete, out of date or unexpected, and they don't reflect our views. Your pet is not a person. It is not a doctor, therapist, lawyer or financial adviser, and nothing it says is professional advice. Check anything important before relying on it.

If you're going through a crisis, Pimori may show crisis support resources, but Pimori is not an emergency or crisis service. If you or someone else is in danger, call your local emergency number right away.

9. Sparks and virtual items

Sparks, snacks, finds, gifts, rooms and other in-game items are part of the game. They are licensed to you for use in Pimori only. They have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money or anything outside the app, and can't be sold or transferred except through features we provide (like sending a gift to a friend). We may change or rebalance them, and they end when your account ends.

10. Pimori Plus

Pimori Plus is an optional paid subscription with extra features. The price, billing period and any free trial are shown before you buy.

• Plus is sold and billed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play, using the payment method on your store account. We don't receive or store your payment details.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it renews.
• You can manage or cancel Plus in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your Pimori account does not cancel the subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
• We may change Plus features or prices. Price changes apply from your next renewal, and the store will tell you as required.

Some parts of Pimori may be free and some may be limited per day. We may change what's free and what's included in Plus.

11. Changes to Pimori

Pimori is a young app and will change. We may add, change or remove features, and we may pause or stop the service. If we stop Pimori entirely, we'll give reasonable notice in the app where we can.

12. Ending your use

You can stop using Pimori and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access, or remove content, if you break these terms, if you put others at risk, or if the law requires it. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as ownership, disclaimers and limits of liability) survive after your use ends.

13. Disclaimers

Pimori is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that Pimori will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that data will never be lost, or that AI replies will be accurate or suitable for you. Some places don't allow certain disclaimers, so some of these may not apply to you.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Pimori will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of Pimori or from AI replies. Our total liability for any claim relating to Pimori is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Pimori in the 12 months before the claim or 50 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under applicable law, or any rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived.

15. Responsibility for misuse

If you break these terms or the law while using Pimori, you agree to be responsible for the claims and costs that result, to the extent the law allows.

16. App Store and Google Play

If you downloaded Pimori from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms are between you and Pimori, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Pimori or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any claims relating to Pimori (including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims). If Pimori fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

If you downloaded Pimori from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply to your download and purchases.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change is significant we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Pimori after that, you accept the new terms. If you don't, you can stop using Pimori and delete your account.

18. General

If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't given up the right to do so later. You may not transfer these terms to someone else; we may transfer them to someone who takes over Pimori. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about Pimori.
