The three Pimori forms

Every Pimori starts life as a round bean with a curly sprout on its head. As you care for it, the sprout grows: first taller, then a bud, then a flower. At the final stage, Radiant, the flower turns into one of three forms. The body keeps its shape and color; only the head changes. Here's who's who:

Starbloom: a Pimori with a glowing star flower

Starbloom

Raised on wandering and pocketfuls of finds. A Starbloom grows from a life of exploring: trips out into the world, odd treasures brought home and a shelf that slowly turns into a tiny museum. Its star flower glows like it's still lit by the last sunset it saw.

Moonpetal: a Pimori with a lilac crescent moon

Moonpetal

Raised on quiet care and late talks. A Moonpetal grows from the gentle stuff: full bowls, naps on time, a garden tended day after day and a chat before bed. Its crescent-moon petals suit a pet that's at its best in the soft hours.

Sunburst: a Pimori with a big sunflower

Sunburst

Raised on games and very loud giggles. A Sunburst grows from play: the daily mini-games, rounds of playtime and every chance to be silly. Its sunflower is as bright and loud as its laugh.

A day with each kind of Pimori

Every Pimori gets the same basic care: it gets hungry, it gets sleepy, it gets bored, and it gets a bit dramatic if you vanish for a few days (it never dies; it sulks, and dust bunnies move in). What changes is which parts of the day you lean into. Here's roughly what a day might look like if you're raising each one.

Raising a Starbloom

You pack a snack and send your pet out exploring, and it sends a postcard from the trail halfway through. Later you see what it found: a button, a feather, a shell, sometimes something rare. New trails open up as your days together add up. Finds go on the shelf, and some of them complete collection sets. When a small moment pops up, you pick the option that goes somewhere new. Your pet's idle chatter starts to sound like "wonder what we'll find on the next trail".

Raising a Moonpetal

You keep the bowl full, tuck your pet in when it's tired and tend the garden for a minute each day until what you planted is ready. In the evening you tell it how the day went. When a moment pops up, you choose the quiet option: the reading nook, the pressed flower, the secret wish. It's the gentlest way to play, and it adds up just as fast.

Raising a Sunburst

You play the day's mini-game, chase your best score and give your pet playtime whenever it's restless. When a moment pops up, you pick the option with the most giggles: the rainy-day tune, the big leaf jump. Your pet starts greeting you with something like "i have a game in mind. whenever you're ready".

None of these is a strict routine. A Starbloom still eats, and a Moonpetal still plays games. The form just reflects the kind of care you came back for most often.

How forms are really decided in the app

The quiz is a bit of fun, but in Pimori nobody picks a form from a menu. Your pet becomes the kind of Pimori the two of you were, based on how you actually spent your days together. Here's how it works:

  1. Five stagesEvery Pimori grows through Seedling, Sprout, Bud, Bloom and Radiant as you earn sparks by caring for it. Growth only goes forward. The evolution guide has the numbers.
  2. Three leaningsDifferent kinds of care lean toward different forms. In the app they show up as Explorer, Quiet nurturer and Playful spirit, with a progress bar for each.
  3. Once a day eachEach kind of care counts at most once per day. Ten games in one afternoon count the same as one, so it's about the days you showed up, not grinding.
  4. The form arrives at RadiantWhen your pet reaches the final stage, the leaning with the most days decides its form, as long as it has at least three. If none has three yet, the temperament you picked for it (Curious, Gentle or Playful) decides instead.
Which care leans toward which form
FormLeaning in the appCare that counts
StarbloomExplorerSending your pet out exploring, and curious choices when a moment pops up
MoonpetalQuiet nurturerFeeding, naps, tending the garden, a daily chat, and gentle choices in its moments
SunburstPlayful spiritMini-games, playtime, and playful choices in its moments

Those "moments" are small events that turn up now and then, like rain at the window or a pile of autumn leaves, where you choose what the two of you do. A few of the quiz questions borrow from them, so if you answered the same way in the app, you'd be nudging your pet the same way.

Form and color are two different things

A Pimori's color is called its bloom. It's rolled once, when the egg hatches, and it never changes: Lime, Rose, Sky and Honey are common, Aurora is rare (8%) and Prism is legendary (2%). Your form is separate. A Prism Pimori can grow into any of the three forms, and so can a Lime one. That means there are eighteen possible color and form combinations to show off.

Most people are a bit of all three

If your answers were split, that's normal. Most of us are a Moonpetal on a Sunday, a Starbloom on holiday and a Sunburst at a party. The app works the same way: a pet that gets a bit of everything still ends up with one form, but you'll see all three leanings growing along the way. And because each kind of care only counts once a day, a relaxed routine with a bit of everything is just as good as chasing one form.

There's no best form, either. They're different looks and different stories, not levels. Whichever one your Pimori becomes, it'll say something about the days you spent together, which is the whole point. Questions

Does this quiz decide my Pimori's form?

No, it's just for fun. In the app, your Pimori's form comes from how you care for it, day by day. The quiz only guesses which one you'd raise.

What are the three Pimori forms?

Starbloom, with a glowing star flower, raised on wandering and finds. Moonpetal, with a crescent moon, raised on quiet care and late talks. Sunburst, with a sunflower, raised on games and loud giggles.

How is a Pimori's form decided in the app?

By the kind of care you showed up for on the most days. Exploring leans Starbloom, feeding, naps, gardening and chatting lean Moonpetal, and games and play lean Sunburst. Each kind counts at most once per day.

When does a Pimori get its form?

At Radiant, the last of five growth stages. Before that it's a Seedling, Sprout, Bud and Bloom, and the sprout on its head grows taller at each stage.

Does my Pimori's color change its form?

No. The color, called a bloom, is rolled when the egg hatches and stays the same. The form only changes the flower on its head.
